Main ingredients
Blackcurrant with chia is a real treat for children and adults!
Preserves are one of my favourite forms of serving fruit, especially in autumn, winter and spring, when the availability of fresh seasonal products straight from the tree or the bush is very limited. You can spread them on bread or pancakes and use them in cakes and desserts. The possibilities are endless!
My jams are deliciously fruity and vegan, they contain no gluten or added sugar: as always, they are tasty and healthy. I love their natural composition, valuable properties and beneficial effects on the body and mind. The fruit has been carefully fried to achieve the ideal taste and consistency.
Blackcurrant with chia seeds that belong to Superfoods is a completely new and unique combination, which is versatile and simply delicious, for both small and big gourmets. It is perfect for breakfast, snacking during the day or as a fruit dinner. It is made from 100% natural ingredients, without harmful additives, artificial substances or preservatives. I'm sure you'll love it as much as your children do.
100 g of product is made from 100 g of fruit.
Blackcurrant dizziness!
Blackcurrant fruits are small black berries with an astringent and sweetish flavour. Compounds they contain have diverse properties, among other things antibacterial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. The research also shows that blackcurrant contains a lot of soluble fibre which supports the digestive system as well as the process of losing weight.
Blackcurrant is a source of vitamin C and B vitamins. It also contains: provitamin A, vitamin E and quercetin which has anti-allergic properties lowering the release of histamine; potassium which takes part in the transmission of nerve impulses, muscle contraction and the regulation of blood pressure, as well as magnesium, zinc and calcium. Zeaxanthin present in blackcurrant protects vision from the effects of oxidative stress which often has an impact on other diseases, i.e. atherosclerosis, stroke, neurodegenerative diseases (e.g. Parkinson's disease). Blackcurrent is also rich in tannins which have antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and improve blood circulation. What’s more, the research shows that eating blackcurrant regularly can increase nitric oxide in the body which has a positive influence on the functioning of the circulatory system.
Chia Superfood!
Chia, which is also called Salvia hispanica, is a plant native to Mexico and Guatemala. It has seeds which are known for their exceptional nutritional value and beneficial effects on the whole body as well as their nice nutty flavour. They contain, among others, α-linolenic acid, calcium, magnesium, iron, manganese, and have a lot of antioxidant compounds.
Chia seeds are an excellent source of α-linolenic acid which is a precursor of other omega−3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids build cell membranes, help to maintain the proper cholesterol level, support the treatment of hypertension and have anti-inflammatory properties. Chia seeds are high in antioxidants which benefit our health. They also contain: chlorogenic acid which enhances insulin sensitivity, caffeic acid, and quercetin, kaempferol and myricetin. Additionally, quercetin can reduce unpleasant allergy symptoms. Chia seeds are also rich in calcium, so they are its excellent source for people who follow a lactose-free diet. Thanks to a high content of soluble fibre, chia seeds support the proper functioning of the digestive system.
