Banana cake with nuts and chocolate recipe

Today we present a cake in which banana and chocolate play the main part. It is a well-known and popular combination, and the banana itself is an ideal product suitable for many baked goods.

Bananas are especially recommended for athletes, and very ripe bananas are better in this case. They are a perfect carbohydrate snack that gives you a kick before the workout. Bananas are rich in minerals: potassium, magnesium, calcium, copper and manganese, as well as important vitamins - A, C, E, K and those from the B group.

Going back to the recipe... ;)  


Ingredients for the banana cake with nuts and chocolate:

  • 1,5 glass of millet or buckwheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • 3 tablespoons of a sweetening substance, e.g. honey, maple syrup or date syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda or baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 70-80 g bitter chocolate
  • a handful of hazelnuts

Preparation of the banana cake with nuts and chocolate:

  1. Crush bananas with a fork
  2. Add them to a container with coconut oil, eggs, sweetening substance and mix well
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients with the nuts
  4. Stir well
  5. Melt the bitter chocolate in the pot
  6. Mix it with the prepared dough
  7. Line a baking tray with paper and pour the preparation in
  8. Bake for about 60 minutes at 180 degrees in a fan-assisted oven
