Maca (Lepidum peruvianum) is a plant that has been grown in South America in the Andes for over 2000 years. It is a source of: calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, iron, sulfur, zinc and vitamins: B1, B2, C, E.
It also contains a lot of secondary metabolites which it produces itself, e.g. glucosinolates, steroids, alkaloids, macamides, macaenes, tannins or isothiocyanates which have health-promoting properties.
The maca root benefits fertility and boosts libido, has antidepressant properties and relieves menopause symptoms.
Due to its energizing effects, it is recommended to people who every day have a lot of physical and mental activity.

How to use:
The maca root powder can be added to, e.g. shakes, salads or drinks. It should not be subject to thermal processing as it has negative effect on health-promoting compounds that the maca root contains. It is recommended to take from 500 to 3000 g a day and increase the dose gradually. It gives the best results when taken regularly.
